Watch: Tucker Carlson Addresses Hunter Biden’s ‘Sweetheart Deal’ in Episode 5

Former top-rated Fox News host Tucker Carlson addressed the plea deal agreement between Hunter Biden and Department of Justice officials.

On his new online show “Tucker on Twitter,” Carlson delved into the particulars of the deal, which involve Hunter pleading guilty to charges of illegally purchasing a gun while under the influence of drugs and failing to pay federal taxes in 2017 and 2018.

The Daily Caller reported that Carlson drew attention to the relatively minor charges against President Joe Biden’s son, saying, “This morning, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to pretty much nothing.”

Former President Donald Trump agreed, saying it was nothing more than “a mere ‘traffic ticket’ … our system is BROKEN,” on his Truth Social platform.

Carlson suggested the plea was a strategic move to render the 37-count indictment against former President Donald Trump seem unbiased and nonpolitical.

Trump seems to agree. Two weeks ago Trump predicted: “They’ll hit Hunter with something small to make their strike on me look fair.”

As per Carlson, despite pleading guilty to two misdemeanor tax evasion charges and entering a diversion on a federal gun charge, the case against Hunter Biden was relatively minor compared to what could have unfolded.

“As far as Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is concerned,” Tucker said, “Hunter Biden is done. There was no pre-dawn raid carried live simultaneously on CNN. There was no perp walk, no handcuffs, no press conference.”

Carlson added: “Above all, there was no felony. Hunter Biden, who broke federal gun laws, can still carry a gun. It’s like it all never happened.”

Tom Fitton, chief of the government watchdog organization Judicial Watch, blasted the announced plea agreement saying:

“Simply put, the Garland Justice Department’s disparate treatment of Hunter Biden and President Trump is an abomination unto the law. The sweetheart plea deal with Hunter Biden is a ‘thumb in the eye’ to the fair administration of law.

Fitton added: “This is a miscarriage of justice whose chief beneficiary is President Biden. For far too long, Biden has avoided any serious investigation of his involvement in Hunter’s corrupt foreign business dealings. The plea deal, which doesn’t address the strong evidence of Biden family racketeering, is a sham.”

Tucker joined Trump in charging the Biden administration with leading a “two-tier” justice system, suggesting that Hunter’s plea deal signals how the people in charge will never face penalties for committing crimes.

Tucker concluded:

“The question is, what can we learn from Hunter Biden’s plea deal today? First off, the obvious: For the children of the people in charge, there are no penalties — there are only upsides.”

“They’re princelings: They can do what they want. You are not. Therefore you can’t. So don’t get any ideas about cheating on your taxes or violating federal gun laws unless you want to celebrate next year’s Father’s Day through the glass of the visitor’s room.”
